We started off taking a wrong turn but thankfully Steve M. pointed us in the right direction. So lucky to have a working cell phone. Can you hear me now? Our day was abundantly filled with endless opportunities to see the architecture, both old and new, of this western town. An enthusiastic as well as knowlegeable trolley tour guide acquainted us with a lay of the land and with a plan to sightsee. Boots were all over Cheyenne. "These Boots are made for Talking" were sponsored by local businesses and were auctioned at a fundraiser. The monies raised went to a endowment fund for the museum. The boots were painted by area artists. The Licensed to Boot was done as an art project from an after school program sponsored by Chad Blakely, Carey Junior High Art Club. The kids painted the design on the upper boot and used old license plates to mimick snake skin on the bottom portion. Don't Feed the Animals artist is Jill Pope. Her theme was the pronghorn antelopes that call Wyoming their home.
